‘25 New Product Review – Tonic Polarized Eyewear

In the May 26, 2025 digital weekly edition of The Fisherman, Jim Hutchinson spotlighted a brand-new polarized option on the market this season from Australia, TONIC Polarized Eyewear.  You may have seen TONIC for the first time as a new prize offered in our 2025 Dream Boat Fishing Challenge, but in this New Product Review from ICAST ’25 we take a deeper dive into TONIC to learn what they’re all about, from function and fit, to conservation.  Anglers have a multitude of choices in today’s market when it comes to polarized eye protection, but the TONIC Glass Photochromic lenses – Copper or Grey – actually darken and lighten depending on ambient light conditions, offering a great “transition style” lens which automatically changes to light, darkening in sunlight and becoming clearer when indoors.
